Première Pro and Première Prelude

What is a media browser?

A media browser helps you browse you computer much quicker and easier. so if you want to look for something which you cant seem to find or if you have miss placed it you can write what you named it into the search bar.

What is a Information tab?

The information tab is just the instruction manual which tells you what the software is about and how to use it. 

How to import data on Première Prelude;

  1. Firstly; open up Première Prelude.
  2. After; create a new Project and don't forget to save it in the D-Drive.
  3. Press the ingest button that is located on top right corner of the page.
  4. Next; click the desktop folder you have saved your work in.
  5. Importing your project from your saved file, press ingest on the bottom corner.
  6. Once it has been ingested you can start adding effects, comments and even sub clips, by connecting them to different places and stretch them too how long you want it to run by simply pressing I for Input and O for Output.
  7. When finished you then press on the Project window, right click and press transfer to Première pro.


Different symbols used in editing in première pro;

J - Backwards on video
K - Pause Video
L - Past Forwards
SPACE - Start and stop on video
I - Pinpoint
O - Outpoint
. - Send to timeline
, - Insert in-between shots

Where to find the effects on Première Pro.

If you wish too use effects for you audio and clips you will find them located in the project window where it boldly says 'effects'. 
 - Clicking on the effects icon 4 different bullet points associated with videos and audio's: like Video effects, Audio effects ect...

In each one they contain numerous effects. So if you where to use the effect you have chosen for your project you would simple click and hold and then drag it over to it. Like if you were to use the black and white effect if you drag it over you will see that the video has changed.

Première Prelude

As you can already see Prelude is near enough the same as Première Pro but obviously a little different.

How to add fades to Première Prelude projects.

- Start off by zooming into the video by pulling the curser just underneath the timeline so it is much clearer to see.
-After going to the place you wish to add a fade you would need too right click the mouse and press ' Apply Transaction fade'.

Premiere Pro and Premiere Prelude tutorials - Basics
Premiere Pro tutorials -

As premiere pro opens we firstly have the bottom left corner grey box which is called the project window. The project window is basically where you can import your different projects and also if you wish to use titles the ones that you would create would go straight in their safely just incase you would wish to use it again and also with any other .

The media browser helps you browse your computer for you projects and also lets you import them easier.

Info Tab
The Information tab is where it tells you how too use the premiere pro software if you were in trouble and needed help.

How to insert effects to you project;
If you want to find the effects you will find them also in the Project Window.
  - Clicking on the effects icon in the project window top right you will find various bullet points naming; Video effects, Audio effects.

In each one you will find many effects in. When you finally click a effect you want for either video or audio you would grab hold of it and then drag it to the video box next to the project window box and attach it. You will know its attached when the video is highlighted.

Examples; If you searched the black and white effect you would drag it to the video which will change the colour of the video.


Adobe Premiere Prelude
As you have already noticed prelude is pretty much similar to Premiere pro. For a quick broef demonstration I am going to show you how to upload projects onto Adobe Prelude and also how to add comments and sub clips:
-Open Premiere Prelude
-Make a new project and make the file in the D-drive
-Ingest your project by clicking the top bottom on the right top side of the page
-Next, click on the desktop folder you wish to save your work in
-After import your project from your saved file and then press ingest which you will find on the bottom tight side of the pop up box
-once it ingested you can start to add comments and sub clips by connecting them to different places and how long you wish to want them, by simply pressing 'I' for 'Import' and 'O' for 'Output'
-When finished you will then double click your project and then right click and press send to Adobe Premiere Pro
